BFT Prices Close Week at Yesterday’s High

Three cars of packer grade bleachable fancy tallow (BFT-P) traded steady with yesterday’s high. Tech tallow interest was present in the Chicago market at a penny to a penny and a half discount to the last traded level, but sellers have found higher prices outside of the Chicago market. Export demand as well as renewable fuel demand have been paying prices at the equivalent of 35 – 36 cents delivered Chicago rail yard.

Choice white grease traded as low as 17.5 cents FOB Missouri River today. Bulk volume sales, i.e. 10 + truck trades, have been consistent at the high end of the range, but lower priced availability continues to surface on smaller volume trades.
