Monthly Biomass-Based Diesel Imports Hit 3yr High

April Biomass-Based Diesel Imports Jump 62% From March – EIA

According to the Energy Information Agency (EIA), the United States imported 32.97 million gallons of biomass-based diesel (D4) during March. Imports of D4 increased 10 percent from February but were 19 percent below the volume imported in March of 2019. Cumulative D4 imported gallons through March of 102.4 million gallons are two percent over 2019 volume through the same time period.  

March biodiesel imports were up 10 percent from February but 35 percent below the volume received during March of 2019.  Biodiesel imports arrived from Canada and Germany.  Canada was the leading exporter for the month, providing 11 million…
