Organic Cracked Corn Imports Fall More than Expected

 

Organic cracked corn prices were unchanged as imports into the US declined in June more than The Jacobsen had expected. As usual, all the cracked corn that came into the United States in June originated in Turkey according to bills of lading. That means the corn entered Turkey as a Diaz Sub facility in Giresun and was cracked. All of the organic cracked corn that was imported into the US in June came into Morehead City North Carolina.

Approximately 12,500 metric tons of organic cracked corn was imported into the US in June. This was down 52% year over year according to The Jacobsen. For the 6-months ending June 30, 2020, organic cracked corn imports were down 18% year over year compared to the same…
