Amazon and World Energy meet via Shell. Amazon announced plans to buy six million gallons of renewable jet fuel via a division of Shell and produced by World Energy. The companies said the jet fuel will be made from used cooking oil, tallow, and agricultural feedstocks. Amazon has pledged to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 and will make sure half of Amazon shipments are net-zero by 2030.
