Ethanol Production Jumps for Week Ending 24 July

Trading was mostly steady today with few changes reported in the market. Distillers corn oil prices did move higher with improved demand from the bio sector and a wide spread to soybean oil helping to push the market up. Ethanol production jumped to 958,000 barrels per day last week, up 5.5 percent compared to the week prior and down 7 percent compared to the prior three-week average. Distillers corn oil production is estimated at an average of 9.09 million pounds per day.  For July and August, the average price spread between Missouri River DCO and nearby SBO over the last three years is 5.27 and 5.17 cents, respectively.  At an average of 22.75, DCO…
