Indonesian B40 Will be Combination of 30% FAME & 10% “Green Diesel”

Indonesia finds its B40 program moving forward once again, having a target date and road map of July 2021 for implementation. Back in February, Indonesia’s Director of Bioenergy said they were working on finding the best blending of B40 for engines. They have found that the combination of 30 percent FAME and 10 percent green diesel will work better than other mixtures that had been under consideration.  This formulation has a higher cetane number, which should hopefully eliminate some of the problem’s consumers had in the past. 

In the US, biodiesel RINs posted higher values by the day’s close.  The 2020 biodiesel RIN climbed 1.5 cents to 63.75, which is its highest closing value since November 20, 2019. Ethanol RINs also managed to reach higher…
