Organic Corn Import Seasonally Decline in the H2

 

There seems to be a stalemate in the organic corn market, and farmers are frustrated that organic prices have dipped. There appears to be enough corn around to keep a lid on prices. Imports eased in July according to The Jacobsen. Organic cracked corn imports did not make their way to US shores in July, which was somewhat of a surprise. This compares to more than 30K tons of organic cracked corn that was brought into the US in July of 2019.

Organic cracked corn imports for the 12-months ending July 2020 are down nearly 30% year over year compared to the same period in 2019. Organic corn imports are nearly unchanged year over year for the same period according to The Jacobsen.
