Soybean Conditions Improves, Cotton Falls

 

Crop Progress 

Corn:

  • 97 percent silking
  • 59 percent dough
  • 11 percent dented
  • 71 percent good to excellent; 8 percent poor to very poor

The corn crop 97 percent through the silking stage and 59 percent through the dough stage. Eleven percent of the crop has dented.  Crop conditions declined from last week. Fields rated good to excellent fell a point to 71 percent and increased a point to eight percent in the poor to very poor category. Crop conditions in North Carolina improved but were more than offset by declining conditions in Colorado and Iowa. This year’s corn crop is on par with last seasons. Last year fields rated good to excellent were 68 percent versus 13 percent poor to very poor.
