Feathermeal Prices Move Higher

Feathermeal prices traded higher this week with demand increasing for spot material. Demand from the feed blenders, exporters and range block producers has picked up. Feed blenders are taking advantage of the strong protein value in the feathermeal market. In July, the per unit of protein cost of feathermeal hit a multi-year low at $3.11, 52 percent of the cost of a unit of protein in soybean meal.
