Friday Publication Hours In Effect & Holiday Close
The Jacobsen will close trade at 12 pm CT tomorrow and publish the Animal Fats Bulletin shortly after. We will resume our Sep – May Friday trading hours next week with Friday’s close on September 11th moving up to 3 pm CT.
The Jacobsen offices will be closed on Monday, September 7th in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
Trading was very quiet today with no changes and spot volume trades reported. A number of buyers and sellers are already out of the office ahead of the long, holiday weekend. Choice white grease is closing out the market at an average price of 25 cents FOB Missouri River, up 19 percent from four weeks ago. The market is likely to see price support in the near term as the Monday holiday tightens nearby supply and both buyers and sellers have booked out ahead in an effort to ensure coverage.
