Hydrogen Poised to Compete in Future
Hydrogen is a clean solution for fueling cars, trucks, ships, and heating buildings all of which have been major domains for fossil fuel. Hydrogen burns more cleanly than fossil fuels and unlike wind and solar, it can stand in for carbon in some reactions. Green hydrogen produced from renewable electricity is largely emission free.
Japan has the worlds-largest renewable powered hydrogen project at 10 gigawatts of capacity and is the leader in hydrogen refueling stations. The European Union is planning to build world’s largest renewable hydrogen plant by 2030. The plant is projected to have twice the capacity of China’s Three Gorges Dam, the World’s largest energy plant.
