Prices were mostly steady to close out the month of September. The top side of the ruminant MBM market moved up to $220, there was some trading done as high as $250, but the bulk remains within the printed range. Animal proteins in general are getting price support from the soybean meal market. December futures settled up over $10 today. Blend and aqua demand have been supportive of the feather meal market as has export demand.

Broiler slaughter is forecast to move lower over the next six weeks, averaging 171.2 million head…
