LCFS Credit Value Through Q3 2020 Exceeds all of 2019

 

LCFS Weekly Credit Transfer Activity 

Weekly credit volume of 408,687 was 121,323 credits below last week’s total but 14 percent over the 2020 average of 358,887. Volume declined 23 percent from the prior week but was 42 percent over last year’s volume for the same period.  The average price paid per credit increased $0.88 to $196.96. There were 45 transactions, 33 percent were type 1 transfers of 135,724 credits and 19 were type 2 transfers of 272,963 credits. Type 1 transactions are executed within 10 days of an agreement. Type 2 transactions are executed beyond 10 days of a transfer agreement. Type 1 transactions may give a better indication of current market conditions since Type 2 transactions do not provide a date the agreement was entered into.
