Crop Progress  – 3.72 Billion Bushels of Corn Harvested; 1.62 Billion for Soybeans

Corn:

  • 87 percent mature
  • 25 percent harvested
  • 62 percent good to excellent; 13 percent poor to very poor

The corn crop is 87 percent mature, which is nine points over the historical average and 33 points over last season’s pace. This year’s early maturing crop has not yet translated into a rapid corn harvest, but with clear weather forecast across much of the Midwest, that could change. The harvest pace is 25 percent complete, up 10 points from last week and a point over the historical norm. There have been 3.7 billion bushels of corn harvested with 11.2 billion bushels still in the field awaiting harvest.
