Crop Progress  – 6.11 Billion Bushels of Corn Harvested & 2.63 Billion Bushels of Soybeans

Corn:

  • 94 percent mature
  • 41 percent harvested
  • 61 percent good to excellent; 14 percent poor to very poor

The corn crop is 94 percent mature, which is seven points over the historical average and 25 points over last season’s pace. Harvest attention has been with soybeans but is beginning to switch to corn. The harvest is 41 percent complete, up 16 points from last week and nine points over the historical norm. There have been 6.11 billion bushels of corn harvested with 8.8 billion bushels remaining. Large corn producing states like Illinois and Missouri trail their average harvest pace while the largest corn producing state, Iowa, is 25 points over its historical average.  Crop conditions…
