Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
The market was fairly quiet today with the annual AFOA meeting underway on a virtual format this year. Three cars of renderer BFT traded steady on a Chicago basis today. CWG was also steady in limited volume.
Distillers corn oil prices remain well supported from strong demand from the renewable and feed sectors. The Missouri River DCO market closed September with a relative price to soybean oil of 84 percent, right in line with the prior three year average.
