US Soybean Crush at 12-Month High, Meal Exports 6-Month High

The National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) reported the US soybean crush reached a 12-month low in September, falling 2.2 percent  from August while soybean oil stocks narrowed 5.7 percent, reaching an 11-month low.  The September crush was fractionally  below analyst expectations of 161.491 million bushels and soybean stocks were 1.5 percent over analyst estimates.  

NOPA members crushed 161.491 million bushels of soybeans in September, down from 165.055 million in August but 5.9 percent over the 152.566 crushed during September of 2019.  Soybean meal exports rallied 31 percent to 991,134 tons in September and were 17 percent over exports from the same period last year..

Soybean oil stocks declined 2.2 percent from August to 1.433 billion pounds, an 11-month low. Despite the decline, stocks were 1.5 percent higher than analyst estimates. Ending stocks…
