Harvest Accelerates & Condition of Peanut Crop Improves

 

Crop Progress  – 8.94 Billion Bushels of Corn & 3.23 Billion Bushels of Soybeans Harvested

Corn:

  • 97 percent mature
  • 60 percent harvested
  • 61 percent good to excellent; 14 percent poor to very poor

The corn crop is 97 percent mature three points over the historical average and 12 points over last season’s pace. Favorable conditions and a matured crop allowed producers to accelerate the harvest over the past week. The harvest is 60 percent complete, up 19 points from last week and 17 points over the historical norm. There have been 8.94 billion bushels of corn harvested with 5.96 billion bushels remaining.
