The EIA reported ethanol production for the week ending October 23rd at an average of 941,000 barrels per day. The weekly output is the highest since the week ending September 4th, which was also 941,000 barrels and 2.4 percent over the prior eight-week average. The increased production has done little to quell the price rally in the distiller’s corn oil market. Trading has been consistently higher this week, and buyers are finding sales below 31.5 – 32 FOB harder to come by.
