DCO Prices Steady, Production Increases

Chicago choice white grease prices are up on six cars that traded higher through the Chicago market today. Truck trading out of the Missouri River market was steady but trading below and well above the printed range remains in limited volume.

Distillers corn oil prices have been sideways this week. Demand remains strong from the renewable and feed sectors. Demand from the southeastern poultry belt remains very strong from the all veg feeders ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday and beyond. Ethanol production was reported at 961,000 barrels per day for last week, the highest number since the week ending March 27th. DCO production is estimated at just over 9.1 million pounds per day, up from the prior eight week average of 8.74 million pounds. The November and December markets seem to be well sold, but any extra spot that shows up in the markets has traded at steady values.
