Organic Egg Production is Trending Higher

 

Organic egg prices have trended higher throughout most of 2018. The rise in prices can provide for the backdrop of stable to rising organic feed prices. With organic corn prices hovering near the $7 per bushel level, higher retail sales could help buoy organic feed sales. Some merchandisers believe that the market has seen the bottom in organic corn prices. Old crop prices did trade below $6 per bushel in some mid-west locations but it appears that bids are now near $6.50 and offers are as high as $7.50.
