While organic corn prices are attempting to form a bottom, and are hovering near the $6.75 per bushel range, while conventional prices are on the move. Goldman Sachs was on the tape saying that they believe that the dynamic with the falling dollar will continue to perpetuate during 2021 driving commodity prices higher. The heavy surplus of organic corn that is available in the US will likely keep prices capped near the $7 range, despite rising conventional corn prices. Issues could potentially rise in the 2021/2022 season if farmers determine that it’s easier to lock in future conventional corn prices at elevated levels and transition back to conventional corn.
