Organic Cracked Corn Imports Rise

 

Organic cracked corn imports continue to make their way into the US, but prices are not as low as they once were. Since most of the organic cracked corn that makes its way into the US comes from the Black Sea region, it is now competing with elevated prices of Ukraine conventional corn which is currently trading near 4-year highs. Historically, organic cracked corn prices have helped put downward pressure on US organic domestic corn prices. If there is continued demand for conventional corn in the black sea region, this could help buoy imported organic cracked corn prices helping to elevated current organic corn prices.
