Organic Soybean Prices are Poised to Remain Volatile

 

Organic soybean prices remain elevated. The Jacobsen has heard prices picked up at the farm in the mid-west ranging from $19.50 in the western mid-west to $20 in the eastern mid-west. Prices in Pennsylvania are currently trading near $22 per bushel, with offers as high as $23 per bushel. Organic soybeans FOB Indian are above $700 per metric ton.

Most US domestic US organic soybeans have been accounted for, with farmers harvesting and selling very quickly. The question for consumers is where will the organic soybeans come from in 2020/2021. The lack of uncertainty is likely to continue to push organic soybean prices higher.
