It was a busy trading day in the tallow market with several trades done into/through the Chicago market at higher prices. Packer grade bleachable fancy tallow (BFT-P) traded at 36.25 for 19 cars, 11 are scheduled to ship within the 30-day window. Six cars of technical tallow traded at 37.5 cents Chicago and renderer grade BFT was bid and unsold at 36.25. Choice white grease (CWG) traded up into/through the Chicago market and FOB trucks were higher out of the Mo. River as well.

The nearby market appears to be very firm after today’s round of activity with buyers paying up to cover material for the end of the year and to start 2021….
