Poultry proteins remain in very good demand with feather meal, pet grade poultry by-product meal (PFG PBM) and chicken meal prices all trading higher this week. “I’d like to sell higher, I just haven’t got anything,” has been an oft heard quote this week. Limited raw material and holiday shutdowns have contributed to the tight nearby market. PFG PBM prices have historically traded higher in December and January.
