Strong Non-GMO Egg Sales Fail to Spill Over into Feed Demand

Organic corn prices in the mid-west are edging higher as prices on the coasts continue to remain buoyed. Merchandisers are telling The Jacobsen that activity is slow, but bids are up to $7.10 delivered in the mid-west. In Pennsylvania, organic corn is trading slightly north of $9 per bushel. In California, prices are quoted close to $340 per short ton. Feed demand remains solid, as organic animal protein sales at supermarkets continue to outpace conventional sales.
