Renewable Diesel Imports Rise for Third Straight Month

** Notice** The Jacobsen will discontinue reporting various price points beginning in early January 2021. Regional biodiesel reporting as well as The Jacobsen B100 Index will be removed in favor of additional biodiesel and renewable diesel price points. Renewable Diesel (cents/gal) California LA will be eliminated along with Biodiesel LA CA dlvd ($/MT). International reporting will be adjusted to better reflect both the Renewable Diesel and Biodiesel Market.

 

 

Biomass-Based Diesel Imports up 11%

According to the Energy Information Agency (EIA), the United States imported 43.6 million gallons of biomass-based diesel (D4) during October. Imports of D4 were 18 percent over September and three percent above the volume imported during October of 2019. D4 imports have reached 378.1 million gallons in 2020 and are running 12 percent over the 2019 import pace through the same time frame.  Renewable diesel imports…
