Organic Soybean Meal Prices in Europe Rise

 

Organic soybean meal prices in Europe are rising. Merchandisers tell The Jacobsen that organic soybean meal is trading near 950-euros per metric ton delivered to Denmark. Prices have increased from 750 per metric ton just 3-months ago. While the cost of shipping into northern-Europe has increased from India, demand has been a driver of higher prices. Organic soybean meal prices in the mid-west have also been rising. Merchandisers have shown The Jacobsen a range of prices ranging from a low of $800 per short-ton to a high of $875 per short ton for domestic organic soybean meal. In key Midwest locations, organic soybean meal is hovering near $850 per short ton. Organic soybean meal prices in Baltimore customed cleared trading near $775 per short-ton. Organic soybean meal that is customed clear and transloaded is trading near $825 per short ton.
