European Organic Grain Prices Rise

 

Organic soybeans in Europe are scarce. Merchandisers are telling The Jacobsen that organic soybeans have been sold into the conventional market. Fiding beans is tough. There is a small volume of organic soybean meal that is coming into Europe from India. According to Merchandisers, there seems to be an issue with some of the organic soybean meal quality. Last week, beans were available out of Romanian for 680 euros per metric ton or $822 FOB Constanta. Organic corn prices in Europe seem stable but elevated. Organic corn prices out of Constanta are trading near the 280-euro per metric ton level. Merchandisers say that it is challenging to find corn from Ukraine. Most of the organic corn has been delivered into the conventional market.
