Organic soybeans are very hard to find. Prices are trading between $23 and $26 per bushel in the mid-west, and finding one or two loads is challenging. Organic soybean meal is also trading at elevated prices. Organic soybean meal traded as high as $1,300 in Pennsylvania, but very few tons have traded. Organic soybean meal prices are offered FOB India from $825 to $900. Even if you are able to purchase organic soybean meal in India, merchandisers appear unsure if it will ship to the U.S. and when it will ship. It cost approximately $190 to get it to the U.S. by ship. Organic soybean meal is offered at $1,140-$1,150 customs cleared and on a truck in Baltimore, which puts it near $1,180 in Pennsylvania.
