Three cars of technical tallow traded higher today. The bleachable fancy tallow market was quiet after yesterday’s flat-priced bids failed to gain traction. Choice white grease (CWG) prices are flat as well. Prices are at risk to move higher basis the tight supply and strong demand from the renewable sector. With the downtime at JBS this week, the spot availability has been very tight which has limited the liquidity in the market. Prices relative to corn continue to trend well above the prior three-year average and buyers in the feed sector continue to push back on price increases.
