LCFS Credit Volume Edges Higher without any Transactions Above $200

LCFS credit transactions increased to 18 over the past week, but the average volume and price moved lower.  Weekly LCFS credit volume of 147,510 was 42 percent below last week’s volume but 69 percent under the 2021 weekly average of 476,639.  Second quarter volume is one percent above first quarter volume and 18 percent over Q2 of 2020. The average price paid per credit declined $4.71 to $189.39. Of the 18 transactions posted, Type 1 transfers totaled 42,010 credits and Type 2 transfers 105,500 credits. Type 1 transfers accounted for 39 percent of the transactions and 28 percent of the volume.
