LCFS Credit Volume Hits Mid-Year Slump

LCFS credit volume continued lower despite a slight increase in transactions over the past week.  Weekly LCFS credit volume of 119,252 was 19 percent below last week’s and 74 percent under the 2021 weekly average of 461,101.  Second quarter volume is six percent below first quarter volume but 14 percent over Q2 of 2020. The average price paid per credit declined $1.97 to $187.42. Of the 21 transactions posted, Type 1 transfers totaled 15,252 credits and Type 2 transfers 104,000 credits. Type 1 transfers accounted for 29 percent of the transactions and 13 percent of the volume.
