SAFuels X Renewable Diesel/SAF Production Facility
SAFuels X is a proposed 100-million gallons per year (MMGPY) production facility that plans to produce renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel from agricultural feedstock. The facility will be located on an 87.08-acre site southwest of Trento, North Dakota. The site is adjacent to rail access.
The facility plans to produce renewable fuels from local and regional feedstocks of soybean and canola oil. There is not currently a RFS approved pathway for the production of renewable diesel from canola oil, but one is expected soon. The Renewable Jet Fuel Process, according to their conditional land use permit, was developed to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for the US military.
