P66 Rodeo to begin producing SAF in Q3

Phillips 66 continues to advance with their renewable diesel plans. As previously reported, they have invested in Shell Rock Soy Processing, a joint venture to construct a new soybean facility in Iowa. The venture is expected to be completed in 2022 and P66 will purchase 100 percent of the soybean oil production. P66 has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Southwest Airlines to commercialize sustainable aviation fuel.
P66 started producing renewable diesel at the Rodeo refinery in the US and expects to ramp up to 8,000 bpd during Q3. The initial phase of the Rodeo refinery will produce 120 million gallons per year and is expected to run off soybean oil as the primary feedstock.
