LCFS Weekly Credit Transfer Activity – Transactions Increase but Volume Falls  

LCFS credit volume continued to decline moving into the third quarter.  Weekly volume of 422,461 was 24 percent below the prior week and 11 percent below the 2021 weekly average of 473,942.  Third quarter volume is 23 percent below second quarter volume and 16 percent below Q3 of 2020. The number of transactions increased despite the drop in volume.  There were 78 transactions last week, up from 46 the week before. The average price paid per credit increased $1.53 to $189.34. Of the 78 transactions posted, Type 1 transfers totaled 47,557 credits and Type 2 transfers 374,904 credits. Type 1 transfers accounted for 18 percent of the transactions and 11 percent of the volume.
