Porcine and feathermeal items saw a rangebound call for the day while pet grade poultry-by-product meal and chicken meal saw a weaker tone in the market. Ruminant meat and bonemeal was on the weaker side of steady. Meanwhile, pet food grade had reports of slowed export interest from participants leading to increased offerings on the domestic front. A low of $700/ST was confirmed on pet food grade Mid-South. Meanwhile, persistent labor and trucking hurdles have led to a choppy market for chicken meal with a range of $950-1050/ST noted.
Feathermeal (FM), Mid-South average monthly pricing has increased two percent from June as of July 20th and continues to remain above the 2020 and prior three year average. Currently, feathermeal average pricing at $483.46/ST is showing a 91 percent year-over-year growth and a 30 percent increase from the three year average as strong demand continues to be noted in the market.
