LCFS Weekly Credit Transfer Activity – Average Credit Price and Weekly Volume Edge Lower

LCFS credit volume slowed after reaching a 14-week high during the week ending July 25th.  Weekly volume for the week ending August 1 of 363,271 was 52 percent below the prior week and 23 percent uder the 2021 weekly average of 470,068.  Third quarter volume is 48 percent below second quarter volume and 11 percent below Q3 of 2020. There were 24 transactions during the week, down from 55 the week before. The weighted average price paid per credit fell $4.33 to $185.94. Of the 24 transactions posted, Type 1 transfers totaled 207,385 credits and Type 2 transfers 155,886 credits. Type 1 transfers accounted for 58 percent of the transactions and 57 percent of the volume.
