Ethanol & DDGS Supply Heads Higher

 

Ethanol and DDGS Output Increased for First Time in 9-Weeks

Weekly ethanol production increased for the first time in nine weeks while stocks continued lower for a sixth consecutive week. Ethanol output climbed 18 thousand barrels to a 923 thousand-barrel-per-day average during the week ending September 3, 2021. The production increase was above analyst’s outlook, which called for production to hold steady from the week prior. Ethanol output was two percent above last week but two percent below levels seen at this time last year. DDGS output narrowed by 1,712 metric tons (MT) per day for the week and was 1,712 below production from a year ago.

Gasoline supply edged fractionally higher from last week and was 14.5 percent over 2020 levels for the same period. Ethanol stocks fell 3.4 percent to 20.11 million barrels, a 13-week low, but…
