The organic soybeans harvest is coming into its final stretch, as most soybeans are off the field. Corn harvest is also progressing, with at least 50% of the crop off the field. Harvest yields have been mixed, especially with soybeans. Some locations reported average levels near 38-bushels and area, while others saw bumper crops upwards of 50-bushels an acre for organic soybeans. Organic corn yields seemed to have been moderate. It’s not easy to find domestic organic soybeans that are available for sale. Fastmarkets/The Jacobsen has heard bids for Q2 near $36 per bushel in the western Mid-West.
