LCFS Transactions Fall to 39-Week Low

 

LCFS – Spot Market Credit Prices Continue to Tumble

LCFS credit volume reached an 11-week low during the week ending November 14, 2021. Weekly volume of 107,672 was 55 percent below the prior week and 76 percent under the 2021 weekly average of 446,123.  Fourth quarter volume is still 44 percent over third quarter volume and 51 percent above Q4 of 2020, thanks to strong October volume. There were eight transactions during the week, down from 32 the week before. The weighted average price paid per credit declined $3.87 to $173.40. Of the eight transactions posted, Type 1 transfers totaled 7,672, down from 54,281 the week before.  Type 2 transfers accounted for 100,000 credits, down from 185,607 credits a week ago. Type 1 transfers amounted to 38 percent of the transactions and seven percent of the volume in this week’s report.
