DDGS Supply Falls to 3-Week Low Ahead of Holidays

Lower Gasoline Supply Slows Ethanol Production 

Weekly ethanol production declined this week, falling 36 thousand barrels per day to a 1.051 million-barrel-per-day average during the week ending December 17, 2021. Ethanol output was 3.3 percent below last week but 7.7 percent over year ago levels. The decline in ethanol production lowered DDGS output to a 3-week low. DDGS output fell 3,424 metric tons (MT) per day to 99,959 MT but was 7,133 MTs above production from a year ago. DDGS output was 3.3 percent below last week and 7.7 percent above levels from a year ago.
