Distiller’s Corn Oil Supply Tightens on Lower Ethanol Production

Buyers and sellers stepped back into the market today and traded a number of products at sharply higher prices. Choice white grease traded as high as 76 FOB Mo. River today for good volume and trading was also very active at the lower end of the range.

Used cooking oil and yellow grease prices were also higher on the day, supported by higher heating oil prices and a soybean oil market hovering around 76 cents per pound for the May contract.

The EIA estimated ethanol production at 997,000 barrels per day for last week in its U.S. Petroleum Balance Sheet today.
