DDGs Continue to Show Bullish Tones

Market Update

Distiller dried grains (DDGs) continued to show active movement on the spot market, however, participants repeatedly commented on limited future activity due to unsettled out-front pricing levels. DDGs moved up on the day from $2.50/st to $12.50/st, depending on region and availability levels. A high of $300/st was reported in several regions; Channahon, IL as well as KY, TN, and AR (markets currently not covered on the bulletin). Beverage ethanol pricing was reported higher as well, with a $15.00/st price increase from yesterday.

Corn gluten meal and corn gluten feed were both higher for most transportation methods and regions, due to availability and interest levels. Most lower pricing on rail and barge is due to continued irregular pricing and market swings, which have been reported as increased in the several week.
