DCO Prices Climb Despite Sinking SBO Market

The market was fairly quiet today with not a lot of action reported. Choice white grease did trade lower into the Chicago market at 54 cts/lb. The FOB market was quiet and remains well supported by demand for trucks, there were asks out for higher delivered rail values basis the strength in the truck market, but there are pockets of heaviness in the rail sector.

Strong truck demand boosted the distiller’s corn oil (DCO) market today with trading seen as high as 56 FOB for June and July shipment. The move higher comes despite lower soybean oil prices, which were down 101 basis points (1.01 cts/lb) on the July contract today.
