Weekly Grain and Feed Items Unsettled Ahead of Weekend

Weekly Market Update

Grain and feed items for the week were highly unsettled with most values swinging lower. Last week’s anticipation of continued pressure on grain and feed prices proved accurate. The weekly averages of DDGS and corn gluten fell, with DDDGS weaker across the board. The largest decreases in weekly averages were Illinois and MN/Dakotas at 4.6 and 2.9 percent, respectively. This was largely attributed to the decrease in CBOT corn and lack of demand for feed related items.

Corn gluten meal experienced immense pressure throughout the week and even displayed signs of rapid price declines on several days. Due to most sitting on the sidelines, only a limited number of offers and bids were communicated. Corn gluten feed also…
