Organic corn prices are stable, but there are pockets of the Midwest where small volumes are selling for levels below $10, precisely in Wisconsin. Historically, Wisconsin has been one of the lowest price points. Fastmarkets also heard about sales closer to $10.25 in the Eastern Midwest. The feeling by market participants is that there is plenty of corn stored in bins across the Midwest.
A question for market participants is whether domestic organic corn will be consumed before the new crop or whether growers will need to liquidate. Some growers tell Fastmarkets that they have plenty of room in bins.
