Highly unsettled tones and wide ranges have been indicated on most of the animal protein items with a combination of a new month, hit-and-miss interest, buyer pushback, as well as increased volatility on the CBOT grains. Pressure at the high end of the range on meat and bonemeal has been communicated for both porcine and ruminant items. However, some contacts have been able to secure the higher values for the near term with active demand. Feathermeal values have continued to witness pressure, even with the CME gains on soymeal at the latter end of this week.
