Record Monthly Renewable Fuel Consumption in May

Domestic Renewable Diesel Blending Climbs More than 30% in May

The United States reached a monthly all-time high in renewable fuel blending during May according to data released this afternoon by the Environmental Protection Agency. There were 1.8 billion gallons of renewable fuel blended into the national transportation motor pool, outpacing the previous high of 1.73 billion gallons set in December 2021. Renewable fuel consumption was 13 percent over April and 11 percent above May of 2022. Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) credit generation of 2.1 billion RINs was 15 percent above April and 15 percent more than in May 2022.
